EVALUATIONS 2025-26 SCHEDULE *UPDATED SEPTEMBER 25th*
**U16-18 girls and U16 boys postponed - date to be communicated ASAP**
EVALUATIONS WILL BE POSTED WHEN REGISTRATION OPENS FOR THE 2025-26 SEASON!
***YOUR DIVISION COORDINATOR WILL BE IN TOUCH ONCE REGISTRATION CLOSES!!!
All evaluations will take place at St Margaret's Centre (SMC).
Evaluations are a 1 hour timeframe within the range indicated on our homepage, in which your player is randomly placed in a group of their peers. Participants will be taken through a series of drills that will help our evaluators assess each player's skillset.
Your respective Division Coordinator ("DC") will reach out to all registrants via email no less than 48 hours prior to your alloted date and block as posted on the schedule below, to advise on your player's specific 1 hour time range to attend.
You can expect to attend on the stated day and within the timeframe as noted below- we ask that you make every effort to attend the timeframe assigned to you as we ensure groups are an appropriate size or balanced for optimal assessment within that 1 hour timeframe. If your player is ill or due to extenuating circumstances, absolutely cannot make the evaluation time assigned to you, please reach out to your DC immediately.
There is NO expectation put upon your player- they are to simply attend and demonstrate what they may (or may not) know about basketball!
This process ultimately ensures your player is placed in the appropriate division to ensure they have the most positive learning and FUN experience possible, with peers of a similar skillset!
If your player cannot/does not attend one of the two evaluation rounds, their overall results will be based on their single round result.
Parents are absolutely NOT permitted in the gym during evaluations. We also appreciate you not standing in the doorway to watch! Go grab a tea/coffee, pick up those groceries you’ve been meaning to grab or play your toonie in the Bay Treasure Chest! We’re confident your child will enjoy themselves without the distractions that can happen when you are in the window watching! (we will kindly ask you to leave :)
Your player should bring a water bottle, wear appropriate indoor/athletic footwear and general athletic attire to participate comfortably.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your round 1 session as we will be sizing players for their uniform as they check in!
